Marine Procurement Officer

- Responsible for all purchasing activities for marine vessels and associate division within the Group and its associate operations.

- Ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out in accordance to the organisation’s purchasing guidelines and procedures.

- To establish framework agreements with suppliers and ensure relevant goods and services are purchased under such agreements whenever possible.

- Source, identify and purchase technical and operational supplies required for marine activities at the right quality and competitive price.

- Negotiate with suppliers to deliver best results for the company.

- To conduct periodic vendors appraisals and price comparisons.

- Responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the SAP purchasing system.

- To assist other business units within the Group in the region in their purchasing efforts and adherence to purchasing procedures.

- Ensure that proper cost/benefits evaluations are made prior to bringing forward any recommendations. v To oversee the entire purchasing documentation process and ensure quarterly cost reports are submitted.

- Oversee and ensure that all invoices are correctly matched to PO and DO.

- Oversee and ensure that all invoices are approved by the relevant person and passed to accounts in a timely manner.

- Provide suggestions/feedbacks for the improvement of the execution of tasks and working instructions.

- Undertake any ad-hoc duties/responsibilities as and when required.

- Has at least 2-3 years in a marine industry or setting
